Paradigm has today (11th February 2026) announced the launch of a new website resource and video for intermediaries covering the recently-published FCA Feedback Statement and Roadmap for its Mortgage Rule Review.
Housed on a dedicated website page, available to view at https://www.paradigm.co.uk/services/mortgage-rule-review, Paradigm have brought together all elements of the FCA’s mortgage market work including it’s original Policy Statement, the subsequent Discussion Paper, and the Feedback Statement and Roadmap document published in December last year.
The Roadmap sets out the action the FCA have prioritised through 2026 and into next year, and grouped them into four themes:
- Expanding access for FTBs and underserved customers.
- Enhancing later life lending.
- Enabling innovation.
- Protecting vulnerable customers.
The page also contains a new ‘Paradigm on Film’ video in which key elements and details of those four themes are discussed and analysed by four members of the senior Paradigm team: Richard Howes, Managing Director of Mortgages, Christine Newell, Mortgages Technical Director, Mike Allison, Director of Protection, and Graeme Stewart, Head of Consultancy.
The video outlines what intermediaries can expect from the regulator as it works across the four themes, the outcomes it might deliver, and what firms can do in advance of any future mortgage rule changes as a result. The video can be counted towards CPD hours.
Richard Howes, Managing Director of Mortgages at Paradigm Mortgage Services, said:
“The Mortgage Rule Review is one of the most important pieces of work the FCA has carried out on the mortgage market in recent years. It covers a number of key areas and has moved at pace, which can make it hard to keep track of what has been said, what has changed, and what is coming next. We wanted to bring everything into one clear place, using plain language, so firms can see the full story and understand what the regulator is aiming to achieve.
“Our new Mortgage Rule Review webpage resource is designed to help advisory firms cut through the detail and focus on what really matters for their business and their clients. The video adds extra value by setting out how the four themes could play out in practice, and what firms can do now to prepare, rather than waiting for rules to land. This is about giving firms confidence, clarity, and time to plan, while supporting good outcomes for customers.”
