BetterHome Group UK has appointed Martin Tullett as Chief Financial Officer, further strengthening its senior leadership team as the business continues to develop its UK operations and pursue its long-term growth ambitions.

Tullett brings nearly 20 years of finance experience, combining strong technical expertise with commercial leadership, business transformation and extensive knowledge of the UK mortgage intermediary sector.

A qualified chartered accountant, Tullett began his career at EY before spending six years at Experian in a number of commercially focused finance roles, supporting business performance and growth.

He joins BetterHome Group UK following seven and a half years at Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB), most recently serving as Group Finance Director. During his time at MAB, he held a number of senior finance positions, with responsibilities spanning financial leadership, mergers and acquisitions, business transformation and the development of the finance function to support the organisation's continued growth.

His experience across two listed businesses, together with his understanding of the mortgage intermediary market, brings a valuable combination of financial discipline, commercial insight and sector expertise to BetterHome Group UK.

In his new role, Tullett will lead the Group's UK finance function, supporting its strategic priorities, strengthening financial and commercial capabilities and helping to create the foundations for sustainable long-term growth.

Rudi Botha, Group CEO of BetterHome Group, said:

“Martin brings an excellent combination of financial expertise, commercial judgement and direct experience of the UK mortgage intermediary market. His understanding of what it takes to support and scale a growing business, together with his experience of operating within listed organisations, will be extremely valuable as we continue to develop BetterHome Group UK.

“Just as importantly, Martin brings an entrepreneurial spirit, great energy and a collaborative approach that align strongly with our culture. He shares our belief that people and strong teams are at the heart of a successful business, and I’m confident he will make a valuable contribution to our leadership team.

“As our UK business grows, having the right leadership, financial discipline and capabilities in place will be critical to delivering our ambitions. Martin’s experience of business transformation, acquisitions and building strong finance teams will be an important asset as we continue to build a successful and sustainable business for the benefit of our people, partner firms and customers. I am delighted to welcome him to BetterHome Group UK and look forward to working closely with him.”

Martin Tullett, Chief Financial Officer of BetterHome Group UK, said:

"I'm delighted to be joining BetterHome Group UK at such an exciting stage in its development. From my first conversations with Rudi and the team, I was struck by the ambition for the business and the clear commitment to its partner firms, customers and people. That combination really resonated with me.

"Having spent the past seven and a half years working in the mortgage intermediary sector, I understand both the opportunities within the market and the importance of building a strong, commercially focused business that can support its partners over the long term.

"I'm looking forward to working with Rudi and the wider team, bringing my experience to help build on the momentum already established, further strengthen our capabilities and contribute to the Group's continued success."
