HLPartnership (HLP), has appointed Matthew Creswell as Senior Recruitment Manager (South), further strengthening its recruitment capability as the network continues to support adviser growth across the UK.
Creswell joins HLPartnership with more than 15 years’ experience across in-house and agency recruitment, most recently spending five years at Connells Group where he held the role of Group Recruitment Director. His background includes senior recruitment roles within large national organisations including TUI Travel, Network Rail and Homebase, alongside a decade in financial services recruitment agencies.
In his new role, Creswell will focus on supporting the recruitment and onboarding of high-quality mortgage and protection firms across the South, working closely with prospective members to understand their long-term business goals and ensure alignment with HLPartnership’s proposition.
Tom Barnett, Sales and Recruitment Director at HLPartnership, said:
“Matthew brings a depth of recruitment experience that is rare in our sector, particularly at a group and strategic level. His understanding of both large corporate environments and adviser-led businesses will be invaluable as we continue to attract firms that want to build sustainable, well-run advice businesses. This appointment further strengthens our commitment to thoughtful, long-term recruitment rather than volume for volume’s sake.”
Matthew Creswell (pictured) added:
“HLPartnership has built a strong reputation for supporting advisers properly, both professionally and commercially. Having worked extensively in recruitment across financial services and large organisations, I was drawn to the network’s focus on quality, culture and long-term outcomes. I am looking forward to working with firms across the South and supporting advisers who want to grow with confidence.”
The appointment comes as HLPartnership continues to invest in its sales and recruitment function, ensuring prospective firms receive a clear, consultative onboarding experience aligned with regulatory expectations and good consumer outcomes.
