Harmony Financial Services has announced the appointment of Katrina Farthing in the new role of Associate Director.
The Nottingham-based firm, which specialises in independent mortgage and protection advice, has created this position as part of its ambitious expansion strategy, following a period of consistent growth and success.
Katrina Farthing, 52, is coming into the role with an impressive 28 years of experience across financial services, including expertise in mortgages, protection, investments and pensions.
Katrina began her banking career at 24 as a management trainee with Lloyds TSB, where she quickly excelled and went on to become a top-performing financial adviser.
She continued to demonstrate her prowess at Alliance & Leicester, holding roles as a financial adviser, branch manager and area manager.
Katrina also spent two years in marketing, gaining a broader understanding of the financial services industry, before returning to the branch network as an area manager, leading her own team of financial advisers. Harmony Financial Services has been looking for someone that has the crucial experience of working in financial services, while also bringing knowledge of brand management.
In 2004, Katrina played a pivotal role in the training and development team that implemented the Mortgage Market Regulation (MMR). Following the rollout, she successfully led a team of mortgage advisers to rank first in the UK out of 26 areas.
Her career trajectory continued at Barclays, where she was responsible for recruiting and leading a high-performing team of 18 mortgage advisers. Despite a brief hiatus to focus on family, Katrina transitioned back into the industry as a broker while managing her own investment properties.
Now, with her son Zac close to finishing school and becoming more independent, Kat is ready to take on this exciting new role at Harmony Financial Services.
As Associate Director, she aims to leverage her wealth of experience to support and grow Harmony’s business while strengthening relationships within the financial services industry.
