Fleet Mortgages has today (7th April 2026) announced the promotions of both Chris Barwick and Katy Williams to the newly-created roles of Regional Sales Manager as part of a strengthening of its intermediary sales structure.
The lender said the two promotions reflected Fleet’s continued investment in broker support and sales leadership, while recognising the experience and contribution both have already made within the business.
Both will report into Steve Cox, Chief Commercial Officer, with Chris and Katy also continuing in their Senior Business Development Manager positions while also taking on additional responsibility for leading and developing other BDMs.
Chris will continue to cover the North East region, while Katy will continue to oversee the Midlands, alongside their new management responsibilities.
Chris brings extensive experience in mortgage lending, having previously worked as both an adviser and an underwriter with a lending mandate. He has also held a number of management roles during his career and has built a strong reputation for his technical mortgage knowledge and practical, service-led support for intermediary partners.
In his new role, Chris will combine his ongoing work with brokers in his region with responsibility for supporting the development and performance of the wider field BDM team.
Katy has worked in financial services since 2011, building experience across mortgages, commercial finance and bridging loans both as a broker and within a packager. Since joining Fleet in 2019, she has developed an in-depth knowledge of specialist buy-to-let lending and was shortlisted as a finalist for BDM of the Year at the British Specialist Lending Awards.
She has also continued to build her professional credentials, completing her DipMAP last year and achieving the highest score to date in the Certified Practitioner in Specialist Property Finance examination.
