The Bridging & Development Lenders Association (BDLA) has announced the agenda for its 2026 Annual Conference, which will take place on Wednesday 11th November at the Institute of Directors (IoD) on Pall Mall, London.

Following a highly successful and well-attended conference in 2025, the BDLA has relocated this year's event to a larger venue to accommodate growing demand from members and invited guests. Supported by Headline Sponsor Strettons, and with CG&Co and Results Asset Management already confirmed as additional sponsors, the conference promises to be the Association's most impactful event to date, bringing together key stakeholders from across the specialist property finance sector for a day of insight, debate and networking. The BDLA has already confirmed two keynote speakers for the event.

Alex Brummer, one of the UK's most respected economic commentators, will provide his perspective on the economic and political landscape. As City Editor of the Daily Mail and an acclaimed journalist, editor and author, Alex will share his views on the key issues shaping the UK economy and financial markets.

Joining him will be Rob Elder, Agent Officer at the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) at the Bank of England. Rob will offer a macroeconomic outlook and discuss the direction of monetary policy, examining what this could mean for specialist lenders, borrowers and the wider property market.

Building on the success of last year's conference, the 2026 agenda will also feature two dedicated panel debates, bringing together leading voices from across the bridging and development finance sector.

The first session will focus on funding and capital markets, exploring the funding landscape for specialist lenders and discussing the opportunities and challenges facing the sector.

The second panel will examine current market conditions and look ahead to the opportunities likely to shape the specialist lending market in 2027, providing attendees with valuable insight into future trends and emerging opportunities.

Adam Tyler, Chief Executive Officer of the BDLA, commented:

"The BDLA Annual Conference has become one of the most important events in the specialist property finance calendar and this year's agenda reflects the scale of ambition and growth we are seeing across the sector.

"We are delighted to welcome Alex Brummer and Rob Elder as keynote speakers, both of whom will bring unique perspectives on the economic environment and the issues affecting lenders and borrowers alike.

"Following the success of last year's panel debate, we have expanded the format to include two panel sessions, allowing us to explore some of the most important topics facing our members today while also looking ahead to the opportunities that lie ahead.

"With a larger venue, an outstanding line-up of speakers and a growing membership, this year's conference promises to be our best yet, and we’re grateful to Strettons for its commitment as Headline Sponsor, as well as CG&Co and Results Asset Management for their support. A limited number of sponsorship opportunities remain available for Member and Associate Member firms wishing to support what promises to be a landmark event for the specialist property finance sector."

Edward Gee, Managing Partner at CG & Co, said:

"The BDLA Annual Conference has established itself as one of the standout events in the specialist lending calendar, bringing together lenders, funders and professional advisers to discuss the issues shaping our market. We're delighted to support this year's conference and look forward to engaging with industry colleagues as the sector continues to evolve and identify new opportunities for growth."

John Foster, Manging Director of Results Asset Management, said:

"The BDLA plays an important role in bringing the specialist property finance sector together, and we're pleased to support this year's Annual Conference. It's an excellent forum for sharing knowledge, discussing market developments and strengthening relationships across the industry."
