BDLA confirms appointment of three new Board Directors

The Bridging & Development Lenders Association (BDLA) has confirmed the appointment of three new members to its Executive Board following a recent election process across its lender and associate membership

The Bridging & Development Lenders Association (BDLA) has confirmed the appointment of three new members to its Executive Board following a recent election process across its lender and associate membership.

Two lender representatives and one associate representative have been elected to fill vacancies created by retiring directors who have reached the end of their terms.

The newly elected Board members are:

  • Claire Newman – Masthaven Finance
  • Sam Howard – Magnet Capital
  • Christopher Taylor – Westcor International

All three started their positions on the Executive Board from 1st April.

The election process saw a high level of engagement from members, with a strong number of candidates standing and robust participation in the voting process.

Adam Tyler, CEO of the BDLA, said: “It is extremely encouraging to see such strong engagement in this election process. I’m delighted to welcome Claire, Sam and Christopher to the Executive Board and look forward to working with them as the BDLA continues to support members, promote high standards and represent the sector.

“I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the retiring Executive Board members, Scott Marshall and Gavin Seaholme, for their outstanding support and service to the BDLA. Their contribution to the association has been significant, and I am personally very grateful for their encouragement and guidance.”

Claire Newman, Masthaven Finance, said: “I am delighted to have been elected to the BDLA Executive Board. The association plays an important role in promoting professionalism and best practice across the specialist finance market, and I look forward to supporting its work as the sector continues to grow and evolve.”

Sam Howard, Magnet Capital, said: “It is a privilege to join the BDLA Executive Board and represent the interests of members across the sector. I am looking forward to supporting the association’s work around education, engagement and ensuring the industry continues to develop in a positive and responsible way.”

Christopher Taylor, Westcor International, said: “I am very pleased to be joining the BDLA Executive Board at a time when collaboration across the sector is so important. The BDLA has a key role to play in supporting initiatives that help combat fraud, improve transparency and strengthen confidence in the specialist property finance market, and I look forward to contributing to that work.”
