Air has announced the launch of improvements to its WriteRoute proposition, introducing a major upgrade designed to help advisers work more efficiently, facilitate improved compliance oversight and deliver a smoother advice journey for clients.

The latest version of WriteRoute, which provides a structured fact find, sourcing and suitability report journey to support those advising in the later life lending market provide good outcomes for customers, brings together a range of enhancements focused on reducing the administrative burden for members. The changes have focused on improving usability and providing   greater visibility and control throughout the process to enable robust quality assurance.

Developed in response to feedback from individual adviser members and firms, WriteRoute introduces a refreshed user experience alongside new audit trail functionality, enhanced suitability report controls, expanded offline capabilities and improved compliance tools.

Among the key enhancements is a new History and Undo function, providing advisers with greater visibility of changes made throughout the fact find process and enabling them to quickly audit and reverse individual amendments where required. The upgrade also introduces a new Compliance Export feature, generating a read-only record of the client journey to support improved evidencing, file checking and compliance oversight.

The suitability report process has also been strengthened through new validation checks, which identify missing mandatory information before a report can be generated. Additionally, advisers are proactively directed to incomplete sections, helping reduce rework and ensuring key information is captured at the point of advice.

WriteRoute also now delivers a more personalised adviser experience, allowing users to upload their own signatures and enabling firms to seamlessly apply company branding to client-facing documentation.

Recognising the increasingly flexible ways advisers work, the latest release enhances offline functionality, allowing users to continue progressing client cases when internet connectivity is unavailable.

To support adoption and ongoing learning, instructional videos have been embedded directly into the platform, helping advisers quickly access guidance and make full use of WriteRoute's functionality without interrupting their workflow.

The launch represents Air's continued investment in adviser technology and its commitment to equipping firms with tools that simplify complex processes, improve operational efficiency and support the delivery of good consumer outcomes.

Commenting on the launch, Air CEO Will Hale said:

"The demands placed on advisers operating in the later life lending space continue to grow and alongside helping consumers navigate increasingly complex financial decisions, advisers must also satisfy ever-evolving documentation, governance and compliance requirements.

"The latest improvements to WriteRoute has been developed with those realities firmly in mind, with every enhancement having been designed to remove friction from the advice process, helping advisers spend less time on administration and more time having comprehensive conversations with customers and exploring all options.

"Technology should simplify complexity, not add to it, and the latest improvements to WriteRoute is another important step in our ongoing commitment to providing advisers with the tools, support and innovation they need to grow their businesses profitably and to deliver consistently good client outcomes with confidence."

"At our recent Air Evolve Summit, we explored how emerging technologies, including AI, will transform the future of advice, creating more intelligent, connected adviser journeys that reduce administrative burden, add value for customers and unlock the capacity for growth.

“That same philosophy sits behind initiatives such as our recent collaboration with Mortgage Brain and continues to shape the development of WriteRoute. By connecting technology, data and adviser workflows more effectively, we're building an ecosystem designed to help advisers spend less time navigating systems and more time doing what they do best: providing advice.

“These latest WriteRoute improvements are another important step in our ongoing investment in the future of advice, ensuring advisers have access to the tools, support and innovation they need to adapt, grow and succeed in an evolving market."
