The Right DA Club, the directly authorised (DA) proposition from The Right Mortgage, has today (14th September 2026) announced the addition of Shepherds Friendly to its protection panel, providing access to its Income Protection proposition.
The Income Protection proposition offers clients cover of up to 70% of their income if they are unable to work due to illness or injury, providing a monthly benefit designed to help them meet their regular financial commitments while they are unable to earn.
The provider paid 97% of Income Protection claims during 2025 and offers a simplified application process through which eligible clients may be able to secure cover in around 10 minutes.
The proposition also offers advisers scope to support clients with a range of medical histories, with Shepherds Friendly able to consider conditions including diabetes, anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, raised BMI and back pain through its fully-underwritten product, subject to individual circumstances and underwriting.
The addition therefore provides The Right DA Club’s member firms with another option for clients whose health, income and protection requirements may differ considerably, while adding further choice to the Club’s existing protection panel.
Shepherds Friendly is one of the UK’s oldest mutual societies and celebrates its 200th anniversary this year, having been founded in Ashton-under-Lyne in 1826.
