PMS Mortgage Club has reported strong year-on-year growth across lending, mortgage completions and protection business, with its support helping member firms grow their businesses and putting the club on course for its strongest performance in five years.
The mortgage club, part of Sesame Bankhall Group, saw lending volumes increase by 21% between January and June 2026, compared with the same period in 2025.
PMS also saw more than 100,000 mortgage completions in the first half of 2026, a 23% increase on the same period last year. Protection business continued its upward trajectory, with annual premium equivalent (APE) written growing by 12%.
As one of the UK’s largest mortgage clubs, PMS supports more than 8,000 advisers across the UK, giving member firms access to more than 100 lenders, exclusive propositions, broad protection options and practical insight into market trends. This helps firms identify opportunities, strengthen client conversations and compete effectively in a changing market.
Alongside the benefits of its lender and provider relationships, PMS gives firms access to technology, data tools, training, events and specialist development programmes designed to improve efficiency, consistency and client outcomes.
The growth in protection volumes demonstrates that advisers are having broader conversations with clients about their income, lifestyle and family protection needs, helping ensure appropriate cover is considered alongside mortgage arrangements.
Claire Cherrington, Director of PMS and Bankhall, said:
"The first half of 2026 has been a strong period for PMS, with growth across lending, mortgage completions and protection business. These results reflect the progress and success of PMS firms, supported by the access, insight and expertise that come from being part of one of the UK’s largest mortgage clubs.
"Our scale allows us to build deep relationships with lenders and providers, secure access to a broad range of propositions and invest in the tools and support firms need to operate efficiently and serve more of their clients' needs.
"While market conditions continue to evolve, our focus remains on helping firms make the most of the opportunities in front of them, write quality business and deliver comprehensive advice across mortgages and protection."
PMS will continue to invest in its proposition to support directly authorised firms as they navigate changing market conditions and look to build more resilient, diversified businesses.
