Nottingham Building Society has today announced the retirement of Alison Pallett, Sales Director, after a distinguished 42-year career in financial services, with Matt Kingston set to step into the role from March 2025.
Alison joined Nottingham Building Society in November 2022 bringing extensive experience from the mortgage market. Since then, she has played a pivotal role in delivering projects that have strengthened Nottingham Building Society’s position in the mortgage and first-time buyer markets through more specialist lending propositions. Her contributions include expanding support for homeowners such as the foreign nationals mortgage offering and guiding the intermediary sales team toward new growth opportunities. In recognition of her contributions to the industry, Alison was awarded with the Bharat Sagar Lifetime Achievement Award earlier this year at the British Mortgage Awards 2024.
We are pleased to announce Matt Kingston as the successor to the role. Currently serving as Head of National Sales, Matt will move into the role of Sales Director in March when Alison steps down. With over a decade of experience in sales leadership focussed on the broker market - managing the Business Development Manager team and supporting brokers in sourcing the right mortgage offerings, Matt brings invaluable expertise to this position. His extensive background puts him into a great place to do this.
Matt's appointment comes at a critical time for Nottingham Building Society as it continues to maintain and strengthen relationships with its valued broker network. With the recent rebrand and its commitment to evolving into a specialist lender, Matt will play a key role in ensuring that the business effectively meets the evolving needs of both clients and brokers.
