Norton Group is celebrating its 50th anniversary, having provided tailored loan and remortgage solutions, to thousands of customers across the UK.

The independent, family-run business, known for its award-winning customer service and dedication to financial inclusion has achieved this milestone with a customer-first approach that has helped individuals and families get on the property ladder, or secure funding for significant projects.

Established by Keith Stringer in 1974, Norton Group is now steered by Paul and Mark Stringer, who preserve the family values that remain at the core of the company.

As a major employer in Rotherham, Norton has built strong connections within the local community. With a commitment to retaining staff, the company boasts a long-serving workforce that reflects the firm’s dedication to providing exceptional service. With an impressive Feefo rating of 4.9 out of 5, the firm has earned the trust of generations of customers.

Co-CEO Paul Stringer commented: “Having a range of loan solutions for customers means that we can find a loan or mortgage offer in most circumstances, including for the self-employed, those with poor credit, and anyone needing a larger amount than they would typically be offered with a personal loan. The key message is that we are here to help and will always offer the best loan for our customers.

“Every customer will receive a recommendation from their dedicated advisor, resulting in a personal service where the unique requirements of each individual can be discussed, and the right solution found. We are proud to offer the largest range of specialist products to customers with any credit score.”

Co-CEO Mark Stringer added: “Since Norton started in business 50 years ago, the financial services industry has changed beyond all recognition, and during this time, Norton has evolved and adapted its products and services to meet these changes. Good customer outcomes are at the heart of what we strive for, and this is why we have customers coming back to us time and time again over many years.”

While the firm has served its customers for 50 years, it has also supported the wider community.

Mark added: “We are big believers in helping local charities – every year we raise thousands for the Rotherham Toy Appeal, and in the past, we have taken part in the Three Peaks Challenge for Bluebell Hospice. This month, we are participating in the Rotherham Hospice Ball charity event, to be held at Magna.”

Jonny Jones, CEO at Interbridge Mortgages, says: “It is exciting to see a company with Norton’s experience and expertise thrive over so many years by adjusting to changing markets and delivering what customers need. Happy 50th Anniversary, Norton. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.”

Marie Grundy, Managing Director of Residential Mortgages and Second Charges at West One, states: “I have had the privilege of working with the Norton team for over 20 years, and we are absolutely thrilled to be part of the celebrations acknowledging the contribution that Norton Finance has made over the last 50 years, not only in the second charge industry but also in the wider specialist lending market. Personally, I have some fantastic memories of working alongside Norton Finance, and on behalf of everyone at West One, we would like to congratulate them on this incredible milestone.”
