The Financial Reporter Mortgage Marketing Summit will return to London on Thursday 24 September 2026, bringing together marketing professionals and decision-makers from across the UK mortgage and specialist lending industry.

Held at Arboretum on Charing Cross Road, the free-to-attend afternoon event will explore the changing behaviours, expectations and pressures shaping mortgage marketing, with a programme designed to combine independent insight, honest industry discussion and practical ideas marketers can implement within their own businesses.

This year’s Summit is being delivered in partnership with headline sponsor Pegasus Insight, the specialist research agency dedicated to the mortgage and specialist lending markets.

Chris Whitmore of Pegasus Insight will open the programme with Marketing moments that decide: broker choices, journeys and retention.

Drawing on continuous broker tracking data, the keynote will explore the gap between where lenders believe they stand with brokers and how they are actually perceived – from service and criteria clarity to the messages and experiences that ultimately determine which lenders are recommended.

The session will also examine the wider borrower journey, including how aspiring first-time buyers research and plan for homeownership, the barriers holding them back and where they seek information before speaking to a broker or lender.

Using findings from research conducted for a major specialist lender, Whitmore will then explore what happens when existing borrowers reach the end of their fixed rate, including who stays, reverts or remortgages elsewhere and the communications and experiences influencing those decisions across both residential and buy-to-let.

Another key session, Marketing in turmoil: staying strategic when everything changes, will see Phil Green of Pepper Money and Gillian McAllister of LendInvest discuss the realities of leading marketing through periods of economic, political and regulatory uncertainty.

The practical conversation will examine how marketing teams can adapt campaigns at pace, manage stakeholder expectations, communicate confidently and decide when to respond to changing conditions – and when to hold their nerve.

The afternoon will also feature a live campaign clinic taking delegates inside an award-winning mortgage marketing campaign, followed by Ask brokers anything: live and unfiltered.

During the closing session, a panel of mortgage brokers will answer questions submitted anonymously by the audience and give their honest opinions on lender emails, events, content, social media, webinars and wider communications. The Summit will conclude with an informal networking and pizza party.

Andy Shields, director at Made Events, said:

“Marketing plays an enormous role in shaping how brokers and borrowers see, understand and ultimately choose between different businesses, but it doesn’t always receive the focus it deserves within the mortgage industry.

“We created the Mortgage Marketing Summit to give the people responsible for growing brands, engaging audiences and influencing customer journeys a dedicated space to learn from one another and have honest conversations about what is – and isn’t – working.

“This year’s programme gets right into the moments that genuinely influence decisions. From Pegasus Insight’s independent data on broker and borrower behaviour to an unfiltered conversation with brokers themselves, we want delegates to leave with a much clearer understanding of their audiences and practical ideas they can put into action straight away.

“We’re delighted to be working with Pegasus Insight as our headline partner. Their research and understanding of the market will give the day a strong foundation in real evidence and make sure the conversations go far beyond opinion or theory.”

Chris Whitmore, CEO of Pegasus Insight, added:

“We’re delighted to partner with Made Events for the 2026 Mortgage Marketing Summit. Marketing teams across the mortgage industry are working in an increasingly complex environment, with changing customer expectations, intense competition for broker attention and a growing need to demonstrate a clear commercial impact.

“Good decisions start with a genuine understanding of the audience, and our session will use real broker and borrower research to uncover the perceptions, communications and moments that influence behaviour throughout the mortgage journey. We’re looking forward to sharing those findings and discussing how the industry can turn insight into more effective marketing.”

The Mortgage Marketing Summit takes place from 1pm to 5pm on Thursday 24 September 2026 at Arboretum, 2A Charing Cross Road, London. Attendance is free for mortgage marketing professionals, teams and decision-makers.
