Marsden Building Society has reached a major lending milestone in Guernsey, surpassing £100 million in mortgage completions on the island.

Working in partnership with SPF Private Clients, the Society has now completed more than £100 million in lending since launching in Guernsey in 2018, highlighting its ongoing commitment to providing flexible mortgage solutions to local borrowers.

Marsden Building Society is currently the only lender in Guernsey to offer mortgage solutions in retirement, alongside interest-only options across the majority of its mortgage portfolio. Through SPF Private Clients, island residents can access the Marsden’s Residential, Retirement, Expat Residential and Expat Buy to Let mortgage products.

Jo Cave, Head of Mortgages at Marsden Building Society, said: “Reaching £100 million in lending is a significant milestone for both the Marsden and our partnership with SPF Private Clients. It reflects our shared commitment to broadening mortgage options for borrowers on the island, as we understand that everyone’s circumstances are different. From supporting growing families to those planning for retirement, offering flexible lending solutions remains a key focus for us. We look forward to continuing to support Guernsey residents and building on this success in the years ahead.”

Pierre Blampied, Managing Director at SPF Private Clients, added: “We’re delighted with the value that Marsden Building Society has brought to the mortgage market in Guernsey. The propositions can be bespoke and tailored to borrowers’ personal circumstances. The variety of mortgages has ranged from a pensioner requiring a small mortgage of £50,000 to a high-net-worth individual requiring in the region of £2 million. We continue to work with the team to be innovative and offer new products.”
