LMS, the UK’s leading provider of conveyancing services, has been working closely with Gen H to help them successfully expand their lending proposition into Scotland.
Gen H is a mission-led mortgage lender that provides unique products to borrowers traditionally left behind by high street lenders. This latest collaboration between LMS and Gen H strengthens their existing partnership, which first formed in July 2023 when Gen H became the 34th lender at that time to join Panel Link.
To support Gen H’s expansion into Scotland, LMS created a bespoke panel of fully vetted law firms; these firms have met quality, security, and compliance criteria, ensuring cases are handled safely as well as efficiently.
Gen H will continue to utilise other solutions provided by LMS via Panel Link, such as Secure Link and Charge Registration.
Secure Link helps to streamline the post-offer query process by offering a knowledge base of lender-approved answers to frequently asked questions. This provides law firms with immediate responses to their queries, creating operational efficiencies for lenders to help reduce delays in the conveyancing journey.
With the charge registration service, LMS manages this on behalf of the lender, eliminating back-and-forth communication relating to pending charge registrations, thus making this part of the process more streamlined.
Suzanne O’Connor, chief relationship officer at LMS, said: “As always, it’s great to collaborate with a lender to bring accessible conveyancing solutions to a wider portion of the market, making processes easier for everyone involved. It’s particularly rewarding to do so with a lender with whom we already have a well-established partnership, as it further demonstrates our shared values.”
Amna Baker, senior legal counsel at Gen H, added: “Expanding a lending proposition to a new geography brings several legal and regulatory challenges, so we knew from the beginning that we’d want to work with LMS as we brought Gen H to Scotland. This partnership and LMS’s technology help ensure a smooth conveyancing process which ultimately benefits those who matter most: our borrowers.”
