Modern Lender sits down with Terry Blackburn, the founder of The Wealthy Advisers Club to talk about why it is the largest online training community of its type now with 1,500 members and growing rapidly.

  • What feedback do you receive from brokers enquiring about joining The Wealthy Advisers Club as members and what’s the most common reason for joining?

Some recent feedback I received was from Jessica Reehal of London Mortgage Solutions, who said: “I joined the Wealthy Advisor Programme because I know it’s going to help me become the best version of myself as a broker. I’m already doing well, but I want to reach the next level.

Most people join with a few problems, and probably the most common is one of two problems: inconsistent leads and/or inconsistent protection sales.

  • What does membership involve and how quickly do members realise the benefit of joining?

Membership is built for advisers at all stages, whether you are a trainee or you are experienced and want to scale. There are brokers with 2 months experience and brokers with 35 years experience in the community, which is testament to how good the training is and how it can help brokers at any level.

We cover many different areas including lead generation, sales training, efficiency, mindset, scaling, systems & processes, property investment and a whole load more! Live training is three times per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) covering what actually moves the needle for brokers right now and combining the new school methods that are proven to work.

In terms of how quickly members feel the benefit, in many cases it’s after a couple of key sessions, and some even within the first week. Ultimately, it depends on their current experience levels and how quick they implement the training.

They quickly realise that they now have a clear weekly structure, proven frameworks, scripts and a community that raises their standards. The common comment we hear is that they feel more focused, more confident in conversations, and more consistent with marketing almost immediately, because they finally have a system to follow rather than trying to work it out alone.

  • You recently launched a Social Media Generator for members, can you explain more?

The Social Media Generator platform, which is available free to Premium members, provides in a few clicks, a full month of social media content. This includes captions written for mortgage and protection brokers, plus images that match the look and feel of the broker’s brand. It also produces video ideas and scripts, and can generate short AI videos. The tool includes trend insights drawn from current Google searches, and reviews other brokers’ social pages to suggest ways to improve and stand out.

The tool is designed to save hours each week, support regular posting, reduce the time spent thinking about what to say, and cut the cost of content creation.

  • How do members join the club and what do they get when they join?

Members can join online in a couple of clicks and can choose the level that fits them.

There’s a free version, which is perfect if you want to test the waters and see why so many UK brokers are using my training. Free members get one live training session per week, access to the community, so you can ask questions, learn from other brokers, and see what’s working in the market right now. Additionally, you have access to 50+ short-form training videos, designed to give you quick wins you can implement immediately.

For brokers who want the full experience and the fastest results, there’s a Premium membership, which is around £70 per month. Premium is where members get the complete toolkit to grow properly which includes 3 live training sessions every week (so you stay consistent and keep improving), 150+ long-form training videos covering every part of the job such as lead generation, conversion, protection conversations, objection handling, follow-up, systems, performance, and more. They also get monthly goal setting sessions.
