Advanced Inheritance, the specialist probate lending provider, has announced a significant new eight-figure funding partnership with Paragon Bank.

The deal represents a major milestone for the sector, reflecting the increasing role that probate lending plays in helping beneficiaries, executors and legal professionals navigate the financial challenges that can arise during estate administration.

Advanced Inheritance provides five-star Defaqto rated loans to both the beneficiaries and the executors of an estate after somebody has died. There are no regular repayments from the borrower as the loan is repaid by the estate once it is in a position to make distributions. The loans have no fixed term to allow for the unknown length of time that it can take for an estate to be administered.

The partnership with Paragon Bank’s Structured Lending division will support Advanced Inheritance’s growth plans, as it is set to double year-on-year lending in 2026.

Paragon Bank is a FTSE 250 specialist financial services company. Its Structured Lending division provides tailored funding ranging from £5 million to £35 million to UK-based, non-bank lenders, enabling them to grow their own lending activities across a range of sectors including SME finance, asset finance, property, retail point-of-sale and auto lending.

Dan Baines, CEO of Advanced Inheritance, said:

“This partnership is a significant moment not just for Advanced Inheritance, but for the wider sector. It reflects a growing understanding that beneficiaries, executors and legal professionals need better access to finance during estate administration, and an increasing confidence in the role probate lending can play.

“We're delighted to be working with Paragon Bank. It’s been clear throughout the delivery of this partnership that we share a strong customer-focused culture and a desire to tangibly improve outcomes for people navigating the probate process.”

Jamie Pickering, Managing Director, Structured Lending at Paragon Bank, said:

"Advanced Inheritance has a well-earned reputation for supporting customers through what is often a complex and challenging process at a difficult time in their lives. Operating in a specialist and increasingly important area of the market, the firm helps executors and beneficiaries access funds when they need them most.

"The experience of the management team is impressive, demonstrating a disciplined approach to lending and a clearly evidenced growth record. This facility reflects Paragon's commitment to backing ambitious businesses operating in specialist markets, and we look forward to supporting Advanced Inheritance as it continues to expand its offering and serve more customers across the UK."
