Access Financial Services has appointed Alan Baldwin as its new director of compliance, adding further experience to its leadership team as it continues to grow its national network of mortgage and protection advisers.
Alan joins Access FS with extensive experience spanning both the broker and lender sectors, giving him a broad understanding of the challenges facing advisers and the regulatory environment. He has previously held senior compliance positions at respected organisations like Connect Mortgages, where he worked closely with advisers to support high-quality customer outcomes while helping businesses grow.
His appointment comes as Access FS continues to expand its mortgage and protection proposition, invest in technology and strengthen the support available to advisers across its network.
Karl Wilkinson, founder and CEO of Access FS, said: “As Access continues to grow, it’s important that we invest in experienced people who share our ambition and our values. Alan stood out not only because of his compliance knowledge, but because he understands what it takes to support advisers in the real world.
“Having worked on both the broker and lender sides of the industry, he brings a balanced perspective that will benefit both our advisers and the wider business. His vast experience has given him an excellent understanding of how to combine strong regulatory oversight with commercial thinking.
“Just as importantly, Alan is a fantastic cultural fit. We’ve built Access around helping advisers grow successful businesses, embracing innovation and creating an environment where people support one another. Alan shares that mindset and will help us drive the next phase of our growth, accelerate our plans and continue to transform the support we provide to advisers."
Alan Baldwin said: "I'm delighted to be joining Access FS at such an exciting point in its growth. The business has built an excellent reputation for supporting advisers and investing in the tools, training and people needed to help them succeed.
"What attracted me most was the culture. There is a genuine commitment to supporting advisers, encouraging collaboration and continually improving the proposition. I look forward to working with the team as the business continues to grow."
The appointment forms part of Access FS' continued investment and commitment in its adviser proposition as it recruits experienced mortgage and protection advisers from across the market and develops the infrastructure to support the next stage of its growth.
