Brokers wanting to discover more about property ownership structures that support long-term family control are being urged to register for the latest free webinar organised by ModaMortgages and CHL Mortgages.
Registration for the Demystifying Tax: Family Investment Companies webinar, which will be held on Friday 1 May between 10am and 11am, is now open.
The webinar is designed to help attendees understand the considerations behind using a family investment company and how they can be used in the ownership, purchase and ongoing management of buy to let portfolios.
Hosted by Chetwood Bank’s group distribution director Roger Morris, the webinar will feature John McCaffrey, from Alexander & Co Chartered Accountants, and Lewis Goodwin, from Blacks Law, who will guide attendees through the tax and legal considerations that families need to consider.
Roger Morris said: “For many landlords and property-owning families, the question is no longer simply about how to buy and hold property, it’s also about how to structure ownership in a way that supports long-term family control, future succession and sensible inheritance tax planning.
“With input from both tax and legal specialists, this webinar is a fantastic opportunity to better understand not only what a family investment company is, but also when it’s appropriate to set one up, what the potential risks are and the things to be considered before moving forward.”
